The Com-Nazis have cut my access to Xanga at work AGAIN and since computer time at home is a premium it may be a bit tough for me to get here for a while.

My time with the kids was too short but still awesome.  It's funny how you can live in the same house and still struggle to spend time together.

    How are you?

     EDIT:  Where is everybody today?

    While the cat's away...

My wife is in Corpus Christi for a couple of days; she's at a seminar and visiting her sister.  I took the day off today and I'm at home hanging out with the kids.  We usually have a pretty good time when mom is away -- junk food, movies, staying up late...  They're pretty good kids and I always wish I had more time with them so when these chances come up I take them.

What do you have planned for the weekend?

    LOST
Alright, I know that I shouldn't get all bunged up over a television show but it's too late.  This show has become seriously lame.  If they keeping dragging the story out with lame episodes (like the last several) nobody's going to care what happens to those people anymore.  I really liked this show in the beginning but I'm just about ready to walk away.

Are there any T.V. shows you are or have been hooked on?

    Snap, Crackle, Pop

I miss records.  I miss LP’s; big, fat, fragile, vinyl records with all their flaws.  I miss cover art and liner notes.  I miss that hiss in the background.  I miss that rich imperfect sound.

I’m going to go out this weekend and look for a record player.  That’s right, a record player not a turntable.  Then I’m going to look for some records to play so I can sit back and bask in the imperfect sound while I look at the cover art and read the liner notes.

I'm tired.  I could have used a few more hours sleep today but it just wasn't in the cards.  I've been getting up early for a while now to spend time with this guy:

He'll be 4 months old on Thursday.

What have you lost sleep over lately?

Ah man, is it Monday already?  Yuck!
My weekend went by WAY too fast.

Did anyone watch the Grammy Awards last night?
All in all I thought it was a pretty decent show this year.
I was excited to see The Police perform.  I could have done without the Dixie Chicks "lovefest" though...

I've always hated bullies.  When I was younger, I always found that the best way to handle a bully is to walk right up and punch them in the mouth.  That method never failed to work because behind the mask of a bully hides a coward.  Now that I'm grown it's not acceptable for me to just punch someone in the mouth so it takes a bit more finesse to get a bully's attention -- but it's always worth the effort to bring another one down.

    Do you have a hobby?

I've been working on my guitar playing.  Basically, my playing sucks but I'm determined to make some serious improvements this year.  It's just a hobby but I'm tired of doing it poorly.

I ordered one of these the other day.

    VJH

I can't wait for it to get here -- it should be SWEET!
